I wanted to wish you well as you enter testing season. This time of year can feel heavy, but you’ve got this. Take a deep breath, trust your work, and remember that your impact goes far beyond any test score.
I also wanted to let you know that this summer there are two TCAP Writing Bootcamps:
- June 22-23 at FHU in Henderson, TN
- June 29-30 at MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN
This bootcamp will guide ELA teachers in grades 3-10 through clear, step-by-step approaches to modeling writing, analyzing prompts, and using mentor texts effectively.
These tools will not only boost student confidence during testing but also strengthen everyday writing instruction.
The purpose of this bootcamp is not to add something else to your plate, but rather to help you close the gaps between the reading curriculum you are already using, and the TCAP writing task.
